Whatever sacred holiday marks this time of year for you, we at “In a Strange Land” hope that your families and friends (real and virtual) are well, your days are bright (in-world just set the sun to “noon”) and Santa Claus did not bring you coal, switches, or ugly neck-ties.
Di just had her RL birthday, so I gave her a painting for her new house…at Richmond’s Island! She put a tree on my roof and hung out the mistletoe.
She’s a mentor for my students in the new year, and since she was looking for a home, our admins let her hang a sky-box well above Iggy’s new house. I have to fly there in my NEW CAR….but more on that later, as well as the story of Pappy Enoch’s Christmas.

I bought him some appropriate wheels for the holidays. He was volunteering as one of Santa’s elves at a virtual department store, but as he put it “the wurk don’t pay no good. I dun sweet-talked mee sum yummy mommies, but be dawg if’n mee and that po’ fat feller in red cood handul them rotten fake kids. Boo Humburg, I sez.
C’mon, Wiggly n’ frends! Let’s drink us sum egg-nawg wif Shine now—go easy on the egg n’ the nawg parts.“
